Moisturisation Studies

Updated: Aug 16, 2021

Moisturisers affect the appearance of skin by doing three things -- fighting dryness, balancing skin tone and improving skin texture. Moisturising products achieve these goals by helping the skin absorb water and by filling in the spaces between skin cells to replace lost moisture

Moisturisers can claim to make skin look younger, healthier, brighter and more even. They might promise to minimize pores or to firm, tighten and tone skin. Some even claim to fight wrinkles or reduce sun damage. We can help substantiate moisturising claims such as:

  • 24h Replenishing Moisturiser

  • Hydration

  • Moisturisation

  • Revitalise and nourish the skin

All of our Moisturisation studies are performed in environmentally controlled conditions – 45% humidity and 20°C, in a panel consisting of approximately 20 volunteers. They are performed for a specified time period e.g. 12h, 24h, 48h, 72h etc. depending on the requirements of the Sponsor.
